Today’s challenge: gold foil on black cardstock combined with spot UV varnish.

The difficulty was not the foil or the spot UV — both are standard finishes for us — but the client’s artwork, made of perfectly parallel straight lines at equal distances from the edges. Although it may seem simple, this type of design requires extreme precision.

Here is where the LuxuryCards team excels through flawless execution. The 700 gsm matte black cardstock is perfectly complemented by glossy spot UV varnish, creating a refined pattern across the entire surface. The text and details were pressed into the cardstock with gold foil, resulting in two distinct effects: raised UV gloss and foil deboss.
